Dermot Mullen – Veterinary Surgeon

Veterinary Surgeon – Dermot Mullen, BVMS: MRCVS

Dermot was raised in rural Northern Ireland where he kept dogs, goats, sheep, chickens and ducks so it was only natural then that he chose to become a vet.

Dermot studied at Glasgow University, qualifying in 2001 with Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and as a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Following this Dermot spent two, very enjoyable, years in Staffordshire in a large mixed practice where he dealt with all species of animals. After a year in Huddersfield in Small Animal Practice he moved to the PDSA in London and then transferred to the PDSA in Glasgow.

Between 2010 and 2012, Dermot was the Senior Veterinary Surgeon at East Glasgow PDSA, and this role provided an enormous amount of surgical and medical experience.
