Ultrasound - gentle diagnosis of internal pet problems
Ultrasound uses sound waves to create black and white images that allow the vets at our surgery to look inside living organs like heart, liver, kidney and bladder. This is a totally safe and non-invasive way for us to look inside your pet to help us diagnose problems. Ultrasound is also commonly used during pregnancy.

Safe, quick and easy
Ultrasound scans are usually performed on conscious animals but we occasionally use light sedation if appropriate. In some cases the ultrasound can be used to assist in the taking of needle biopsies of internal organs.
